2020 WDGC Ice Bowl

The WDGC is excited to announce the 2020 Wabash Disc Golf Ice Bowl taking place on Saturday, January 25 at Murdock Park.
 
As in previous years, the 2020 Ice Bowl will be held to raise food and funds for Food Finders of Lafayette. This will be part of a series of fundraising events called the Western Indiana Frozen Fundraiser Series (WIFFS). Our 2020 Ice Bowl will again be a PDGA C-Tier Charity event. As a Charity event, there is no extra charge for non-PDGA members to play!
 
This event will be “trophy only” for all divisions other than Open (Pro) divisions. This means all AM players will get a sweet disc and the winner of each division will receive a full color disc as a trophy but there will be no other prizes awarded. All proceeds will go directly to Food Finders.
 
As always, the first rule of Ice Bowl is NO WIMPS, NO WHINERS!
 
REGISTRATION:
 
THIS EVENT SOLD OUT LAST YEAR! PRE-REGISTRATION IS RECOMMENDED!
 
Field will be limited to 72 players. Pre-Registration sign up here until Jan 26 at 5:00pm. Day-of registration will take place on-site from 8:00am-9:30am. All players arriving by 8:00 will officially arrive at 8:00 and will be chosen from randomly if there are more players than spots available. First come, first served after that.
 
Players meeting and raffles at 9:30, Tee-off at 10:00.
 
2 rounds of golf at Murdock Park from a mixture of short and long tees. All divisions will play the same layout.
 
COST:
 
BRING 5 CANNED GOODS (CANNED GOODS ONLY) FOR A $5 DISCOUNT ON YOUR ENTRY FEE! EVERY 5 CANS YOU DONATE WILL ALSO GET YOU AN ADDITIONAL RAFFLE TICKET (Max 10 additional tix):
 
$25 All Amateur Divisions- All Am players will receive a series stamped disc. Division winners will also receive an Ice Bowl SuperColor Buzzz.
 
$35 All Open (Pro) Divisions- Approximately $12/player will go toward the payout. Division winners will also receive an Ice Bowl SuperColor Buzzz.
 
All players will get 1 raffle ticket and for every 5 canned goods donated will also receive an additional raffle ticket toward some great prizes. Donate as many canned goods as you like to get up to 10 additional tickets!
 
There will also be an optional Ace Fund and 50/50 CTP Hole ($5 total)
 
LUNCH:
 
Lunch will be available on-site for $5 and is very generously donated by Buttery Shelf Eatery. As with everything Ice Bowl, all proceeds will go to Food Finders.
 
DETAILS:
 
In order to keep trophy costs down and our donation up, there will only be 6-8 divisions opened for the event. Which divisions will depend upon registrants. All players will use the same layout so players competing for the overall WIFFS point total will be grouped into their WIFFS divisions after the tournament.
